Works entered are not insured during the selection process and entrants are strongly advised to arrange their own insurance for works entered.

Jerwood Drawing Prize will insure selected work from 5pm on the final day of selection, 19 July 2017. Selected works will be insured to the value as indicated by the artist in either the Sale Price or Insurance Value section on the Work Submission Form at the time of submission. If no value is entered in either of these sections on the Work Submission Form then the value of the work will be deemed to be nil. In the unlikely event of any claim on insurance being made, independent and verifiable insurance valuations will need to be provided.

Artists are required to provide reusable packing cases for protecting fragile or delicate works during the selection process, exhibition and national tour.

For the protection of delicate frame surfaces, please stretch film wrap around the frame.

The project managers of the Jerwood Drawing Prize reserve the right to refuse entry at any Submission Centre should the work be deemed too fragile for submission and/or handling. However, acceptance of the work does not constitute responsibility for the work by the Jerwood Drawing Prize.

If particular handling instructions are required, please print these clearly and attach to the outside of packaged work and attach a copy to the Work Submission Form.

If a fragile work is selected for exhibition, the artist may be required to provide additional packaging or framing to enable the work to be stored and transported safely throughout the exhibition and national tour.
